Following in the footsteps of Roppongi Hills and Omotesando Hills is Toranomon Hills, a 247-meters high skyscraper complex that is poised to be a new landmark in Tokyo. The official opening of the complex is 11 June this year (in other words, tomorrow!).
It even has its own mascot, a Toranomon! No, its not a rip-off but an official collaboration with the makers of Doraemon (Fujiko F. Fujio).
Does the above look like a Tsutaya store or some themed bookstore? Its actually a Famima (family mart)! It is even designed with working adults in mind, featuring a lounge with 10 cubicles that can be used as makeshift working desks!
The complex also houses a wide variety of dining places such as Toranomon ARBOL…
And a lifestyle hotel (Andaz Tokyo by Hyatt) from the 47th to 52nd floor that charges from 50,000 yen to a million yen for a night’s stay (book with Agoda)…
Right at the top of the building is a chapel, which is the highest one in Tokyo without a doubt. Reservations for weddings started since last year but are apparently already full for the year…
Private residences can also be fund from the 37th to 46th floors, no doubt with one of the best views money can buy (550,000 yen to 3 million yen per month)…
Will you be checking this place out? It is found in a pretty central location:
