6. TenQ Space Museum, Korakuen
An entertainment museum about space with lots of interactive exhibits. Usually, children under 4 years of age are not allowed entry. There are special Family Days 2-3 times a month where small children are allowed to enter.
Recommended amount of time needed: 1 day
Opening hours: 11:00am – 9:00pm on weekdays, 10am – 9:00pm on weekends.
Admission fee: 1,800yen for adults, 1,500yen for junior high school & high school students, 1,200 for children aged 4 & above. 500yen for children under 4 years old on family days.
Location: Bunkyo Ku, Koraku 1-3-61. Yellow Building 6F. 2 mins walk from Suidobashi station, 5 mins walk from Korakuen station.
A museum about the subway, complete with model train layouts and a hand-on train simulator.

Opening hours: 10:00am-5:00pm. Closed on Mondays.
Admission fee: 210yen for adults, 100yen from 4 years old to junior high.
Location: Edogawa-ku, 6-3-1 Higashi-kasai. Kasai station, subway museum exit.
A museum about trains, with steam locomotives and electric trains. You can also try out the train and bus simulations.

Opening hours: 10:00am-4:30pm. Closed on Mondays.
Admission fee: 200yen for adults, 100yen from 4 years old to junior high.
Location: Sumida-ku, 4-28-16 Higashi-mukojima. Right at Higashi Mukojima station.
9. Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Koganei
You can see historical buildings from the Edo period. The exhibits are mainly outdoors.
Recommended amount of time needed: 3 hours
Opening hours: 9:30am – 4:30/5:30pm. Closed on Mondays.
Admission fee: 400yen for adults, 320yen for college students, 200yen for high school students, free for junior high school, elementary and under.
Location: 3-7-1 Sakuracho, Koganei. 5 mins walk from Musashi-Koganei Station.
